A frontline demonstration was conducted in Champhai District to assess the impact of potassium nutrition on grape productivity and quality. The study evaluated the effects of graded potassium fertilizer doses on grapevine yield, total soluble solids (TSS), and economic returns. The results showed significant improvements in bunch weight, TSS, and yield with increasing potassium doses. The highest yields and economic returns were recorded in the treatment receiving 600 g/vine of potassium. The economic analysis demonstrated that adopting improved farming practices with potassium nutrition can lead to substantial increases in gross return, net return, and benefit-cost ratio. The study highlights the importance of potassium nutrition in maintaining grape quality and increasing yields, and recommends its adoption by grape growers in the region.
